Domestic Violence

Courts may issue domestic violence restraining orders prohibiting a spouse from attacking, threatening, harassing, contacting, coming within a specified distance of, or disturbing the peace of the other party or another family member on a showing of good cause. RRB has extensive experience in dealing with the issue of domestic violence, which unfortunately arises all too often.

Representative Results

  • Obtained domestic violence restraining order against client’s husband to protect her and her son from physical abuse.
  • Convinced court to vacate domestic violence restraining order obtained against client without notice after showing that accusations were unsubstantiated.
  • Obtained orders for joint legal and joint physical custody with a 50-50 custodial time share of a one-year-old for our client, the father. The mother would not agree to any orders other than requiring supervised visitation and had falsely accused the client of domestic violence and had him arrested. Blum also obtained domestic violence restraining orders against the mother.
  • Obtained domestic violence restraining order for client requiring spouse to vacate the residence and stay away from her solely based on the opposing party’s continued verbal and emotional abuse.
  • On multiple occasions, obtained several domestic violence restraining orders against a spouse for clients requiring another party to vacate the residence and stay away from her client based on the opposing party’s emotional abuse.
